How It Got Started

When I was young, I loved writing and often wrote short stories, poems, and songs.  I excelled in language arts, took creative writing electives in high school and dreamed of becoming an author.  However, after a very difficult adolescence filled with divorce, homelessness, trauma and loss, and abuse it was a near miracle I even made it to my adulthood. Then at the age of only 25, I became ill with an unknown illness, and became disabled.  After years of searching for a diagnosis, and struggling daily just to make ends meet and survive. One day, I decided to sit down and began writing my first memoir. I knew then, after that  first writing session, this is where I was now meant to be in life.  Thank you for coming along for the journey as I grow as an author and continue to bring joy, strength and inspiration to others through the gift of the written word!
