It is hard for healthy people to understand… but for the chronically ill, even if we use the energy to get dressed, maybe even put on makeup, and get out of the house for an event or meetup with friends & family - this does NOT mean that we are better… we are still sick, perhaps having a better day than most which allowed us the extra energy to get out… but we still do not feel well, we were not well the day before, or that morning, and we WILL have to pay for our extra use of energy in increased severity of symptoms and the dreaded “crash” later or the next day for pushing ourselves to be out with you. So please if you have a fired or family who is chronically ill and they have made the immense effort to get out to spend time with you just be grateful they value you enough to put for the effort needed… and do not ask them if they are “feeling better now.”
