It really is all in Perspective!

aarguin

Let’s face it… NO ONE has life easy… even that friend/relative who you think has it all together… the great job, great health… loads of money… you do not know what inner battles they are facing, past traumas, or what future battles may lie away ahead of them. This human life has never been promised to be fair, or without hardship. I think it can be incredibly grounding however and compassion-building to practice gratitude for your particular current ‘set of problems.’

You may be having an incredibly hard week at work feeling exhausted, burnt out stressed… meanwhile other people your age are facing serious illness and disability and wish they could have that job you are complaining about.

You may be a mom or dad stressed by your child’s behavior at school and recent report card… you might stop and have gratitude for the beautiful child you have in your life and feel compassion for the millions who go childless each day wishing for nothing more than having a child in their lives and hearts.

Not an easy practice… we all get caught up in our own lives, our own agendas, our own problems and worries, but gratitude is truly such an amazing gift to us all when we use it, and pass it on.
