Something I often find myself leaning on is reminding myself in the periods of time when my health is not as strong and stable that things will not always be this bad. Even in life with chronic illness there are periods of acute illness, or acute stress which leaves our chronic illnesses even more challenged.
This reminds me that the best practice I can hold onto for myself in this day and each day is to keep a “don’t know mind”… where I remember that ultimately even if I feel this poorly this hour or this day, I don’t know that I will for a fact feel this poorly later today or the next day. Keeping a don't
know mind allows me to be free to know that every situation is temporary, the good or the bad.
