Guess what? It is okay and normal to NOT feel brave all the time… to feel anxiety and self-conscious and jittery over certain things in our lives… and especially if you are living with a disability or chronic illness every one of life’s typical challenges are magnified!
You might be nervous to begin that online college course, nervous about beginning to date again after becoming disabled or chronically ill, nervous about the responsibility of adopting that dog, buying that car, starting that part-time small business, or heck you might be like me who is now nervous to even try to drive 5 minutes away to the park because my body is so challenged.
You know what though? The ONLY way that the fear, anxiety, and self-doubt wins is if you listen to it! That’s it… simple as that… if you don’t listen, and you take the next step, do that thing that you know your heart and mind and soul wants to do, the thing you know you need to do, the things that is right for you in-spite-of the anxiety, now YOU are claiming your life, not fear. Your life will only become better and better everytime you choose to say “F&#$ off anxiety… I am in control, and I am doing this anyway!”
