It is easy to feel alone, outcast, forgotten, like an outlier, while living life with chronic illness, especially when everyone else in your daily life is healthy. The truth is however, there are millions of people world-wide living with chronic illnesses as various severities. I bet even as I sit here typing this living in a housing community of 600 homes, there is at least a few other individuals who are living a very similar life as me right now affected by chronic illness in their everyday life.
You are not alone in your struggles, not alone in your battle, the hard reality is that most of us who are seriously affected by chronic illness just simply ‘go-missing’ in life, we are, like you, also not out in the world and involved in many things in life, we are living together in this world but separated and unseen, just masses of invisible faces behind closed doors.
But YOU, my friend, are certainly not alone. Find your community, there may not be a local group to you, but every illness under the sun has an online group/community today with virtual meet-ups, and there are great ways you can get involved and connect no matter how seriously affected you are right now!
