Remember, your body deserves love & care even if it is sick!

Trust me I GET IT!! Somedays it feels so defeating… so pointless… so useless when I spend 3-4 hours a day prioritizing healthy food, getting in enough walking, gentle exercise, sunshine, water, meditation/rest, medications, supplements… all the things ,y body needs to perform at its best each day. Then, despite ALL that effort my body still struggles to perform simple activities of daily living like walking, showers, cooking, cleaning, and doing my job. All the while, I have to watch as my body continues its slow downward decline in health every few months on top of it!

One of the best things I have done for myself through my chronic illness journey however, is to learn to truly deeply love and appreciate my body despite all of the dysfunctions it continues to have daily. Instead of reacting out of frustration or disappointment now towards my body, I show my body gratitude for how hard it is always working to support me each day and doing its best to keep up with the demands of daily life. I have made a promise to myself, my body, that no matter what I will always treat my body as my temple and do everything I can to support its health and well-being, even when at times it feels like the last thing I want to do. It is worth it, your body is worth your time, energy, effort and money even while sick or disabled!
